关于此场馆

The Prado Museum stands as one of the foremost art museums in the world, occupying a neoclassical building on the Paseo del Prado in central Madrid. Designed by Juan de Villanueva and inaugurated in 1819, it was originally conceived as a natural history museum before becoming the permanent home of the Spanish royal art collection. Today it holds more than 20,000 works, with a permanent display of around 1,500 pieces spanning the twelfth to the early twentieth century. Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Titian, Rubens, and Hieronymus Bosch are among the painters whose masterpieces define its galleries.

Current experiences available at the Prado include the Landscape of Light guided tour, which takes visitors through the museum's collection with a focus on light as an artistic theme, as well as small group guided tours that offer close readings of the permanent collection. Fast-track entry options are also available, allowing visitors to move directly into the galleries without queuing at the main entrance. Walking tours of central Madrid that incorporate Prado entry provide a broader introduction to the city alongside the museum itself.
