Vessel

Vessel is a public landmark at Hudson Yards on Manhattan's West Side, designed by British architect Thomas Heatherwick and opened in 2019. The structure rises sixteen storeys and comprises 154 interconnected flights of stairs, 2,500 steps, and 80 landings, forming a honeycomb-like copper-clad form that has become one of New York City's most recognisable modern structures. It sits at the centre of the Hudson Yards public square, surrounded by the neighbourhood's towers, gardens, and the Edge observation deck at 30 Hudson Yards.

Visitors can explore Vessel on a general admission basis, climbing through its latticed framework for views across the Hudson River, Midtown Manhattan, and the surrounding development.
