El Castillo de Chillon es la guinda del pastel de esta parte de la belleza natural de Suiza. Aunque el lugar ha estado ocupado desde la Edad del Bronce, el castillo tal y como lo conocemos hoy tiene sus raíces en el siglo XII con los Condes de Saboya, y ha pasado por las manos de varios nobles desde entonces, con el período bernés que duró desde los siglos XVI-XVIII y el período vaudois que sigue vigente hoy en día. Durante tu visita, podrás disfrutar de alrededor de 300 objetos en exhibición en el interior. Con la excepción de los muebles, armas y armaduras, todos los objetos exhibidos aquí fueron encontrados durante las excavaciones arqueológicas realizadas en el castillo entre 1896 y 1903.

Arrive in good time before your chosen entry slot. The castle is located at Avenue de Chillon 21, so allow a few minutes to find your bearings on arrival. Pick up your explanatory brochure and map at the entrance, both included with your ticket and available in 17 languages. Audio guides and guided tours are not included but may be available separately on site.

Getting around the castle

Chillon Castle is a multi-room historic complex spread across several levels, so comfortable footwear is advisable. The 300 or so items on display are spread throughout the interior, so take your time and use the map provided to navigate between the rooms and courtyards.
