Meet your certified guide outside the main entrance at your booked time slot. Arrive a few minutes early so the group can move through entry together without delay. The walking tour runs for 1 hour 30 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the outdoor heat.
Getting around the site
Chichén Itzá is an open-air archaeological site, so the tour covers ground across several distinct areas. Keep pace with your guide and stay on marked paths around the monuments. Direct climbing or touching of the structures is not permitted.
During the tour
- Keep your phone on silent and be mindful of other visitors when taking photographs.
