Plan to arrive with enough time to collect your tickets and join the safari route without feeling rushed, particularly during busy periods when queues at the entrance can build up. The park covers 150 hectares, so allow a generous amount of time to drive the full route at a relaxed pace and still visit the walk-through areas such as the gorilla habitat, the Australian aviary, and the vivarium afterwards.
What to bring and how the visit works
- You will need your own vehicle to complete the drive-through safari section. Entry in a bush taxi or safari truck is not included and must be arranged separately on site.
- Keep windows closed and follow all on-site instructions when driving through enclosures with large or potentially dangerous animals.
- Parking is free and included with your ticket.
- The playground is also included, so families with younger children may want to factor in extra time for that.
