Royal Treasure Museum is a museum in Lisbon dedicated to the royal collections of Portugal, housed in a new wing of Ajuda National Palace. The permanent collection spans 11 themed sections across three floors, covering centuries of Portuguese royal history through gold, silver, diamonds, coins, and ceremonial objects. Among the Lisbon Sintra attractions, it holds one of the largest collections of royal treasures in Europe, with pieces ranging from Brazilian gold and diamonds acquired during the colonial period to diplomatic gifts received by the Portuguese Crown.
Visitors follow a self-guided route through themed galleries covering the gold and diamonds of Brazil, coins and medals of the Crown, jewellery from the palace collection, ritual objects of the monarchy, Crown silverware, and treasures from private collections. Interactive exhibits are integrated throughout, making the collection accessible to a broad range of visitors. The museum is wheelchair accessible, with the entrance located at Largo da Ajuda. Entry tickets cover full access to all three floors and all 11 themed sections, with no additional charges for the permanent collection.
