The Gondola Gallery in Venice is dedicated entirely to the city's most iconic watercraft, tracing the gondola's evolution from a practical transport vessel to a cultural symbol recognised across the world. Housed in Venice, where the canals themselves are the streets, the museum brings together historical artefacts, craftsmanship displays, and archival material that illuminate the traditions of the gondoliers and the skilled builders, known as squeri, who have shaped these distinctive black boats for centuries.

Currently, the gallery offers a Guided Tour combined with a VR Experience, allowing visitors to explore the history and craft of the gondola through both physical exhibits and immersive digital reconstruction. The combination gives a layered understanding of Venetian maritime heritage that goes well beyond a canal ride, placing the gondola firmly within the broader story of a city built on water.
