Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower stands as one of the Japanese capital's most recognisable landmarks, its lattice steel frame painted in international orange and white to comply with aviation safety regulations. Inspired in part by the Eiffel Tower yet taller than its Parisian counterpart, the structure was conceived as a broadcasting tower and has since become a symbol of Japan's post-war reconstruction and economic resurgence. It rises above the Shiba Park district in Minato, offering views across the Tokyo skyline that extend on clear days to Mount Fuji.

Visitors can access two observation levels: the Main Deck and the Top Deck, the latter sitting higher and providing a more expansive panorama of the metropolitan sprawl below. The Diamond Tour offers a guided experience of the tower's upper reaches, while standard Observatory Admission Tickets grant entry to the Main Deck. Beneath the tower, FootTown houses a collection of galleries and interactive exhibits that explore the structure's history and its place in Tokyo's cultural landscape.
