STRAAT Museum

STRAAT Museum occupies a vast former shipbuilding hall on Amsterdam's NDSM Wharf, a post-industrial site on the north bank of the IJ that has become one of the city's most distinctive creative quarters. The museum is dedicated entirely to street art and graffiti, housing a permanent collection of large-scale murals and installations created directly on its warehouse walls by more than 150 artists from across the world. The sheer scale of the building allows works that would be impossible to realise elsewhere indoors, giving visitors an encounter with the art form that goes well beyond the gallery convention.

The collection spans styles from classic graffiti lettering to photorealistic portraiture and abstract mural painting, reflecting the full breadth of contemporary street art practice. Entry tickets grant access to the permanent collection, letting visitors move through the space at their own pace and take in works that are regularly refreshed as the museum continues to commission new pieces.
