O miejscu

O tym miejscu

The Charles Bridge Towers guard both ends of the medieval stone bridge that has connected Prague's Old Town with Malá Strana for centuries. The Old Town Bridge Tower, widely regarded as one of the finest Gothic gateways in Central Europe, was built under the patronage of King Charles IV and later served as a triumphal arch for Bohemian kings entering the city. Its counterparts on the Malá Strana side form a contrasting pair, one Romanesque in origin and one Gothic, reflecting the bridge's long and layered construction history. Climbing the towers rewards visitors with unobstructed views across the Vltava river, the terracotta rooftops of the Old Town, and the castle district rising above Malá Strana.

Current experiences include a combined entry ticket granting access to both tower complexes, as well as a guided evening tour of the Old Town Bridge Tower that takes in the bridge and its surroundings after dark, when the city's illuminated skyline takes on a markedly different character.
