Trapani occupies the far western tip of Sicily, a narrow spit of land that juts into the Mediterranean like a pointing finger aimed at Tunisia. Trapani's famous Good Friday procession, the Misteri, is one of the oldest and most elaborate in Sicily, a tradition that has run for centuries and draws the entire city into its orbit each spring.
