Nxt Museum

Nxt Museum is Amsterdam's first large-scale museum dedicated entirely to new media art, occupying a former industrial space in the Noord district on the north bank of the IJ. The museum commissions and presents immersive, technology-driven installations from international artists, filling its cavernous halls with works that respond to light, sound, data, and the movement of visitors through the space. Each exhibition is conceived at architectural scale, making the building itself an active part of the experience rather than a neutral container for objects.

The current programme is accessible with a general entry ticket, which admits visitors to the full run of immersive installations on display. Nxt Museum has positioned itself as a platform for artists working at the intersection of art and emerging technology, drawing audiences who follow developments in digital and generative practice as well as those encountering this kind of work for the first time.
