The Story

At the center of Mythic is the relationship between Demeter, goddess of the harvest, and her daughter Persephone, who longs for independence. When Persephone crosses paths with Hades, ruler of the Underworld, she must navigate the pull between her mother's world and a new life on her own terms. The myth's themes of separation, growth, and the changing of seasons resonate as a story about every parent and child learning to let go.

Cast and Creative Team

Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall (nine Tony nominations, three wins), the cast features Michael Park as Zeus, Mamie Parris as Demeter, Analise Scarpaci as Persephone, and Savy Jackson as Aphrodite. The musical played to critical acclaim in London and sold out its Montreal run.
