About the venue
About this venue
Fundación Canal is a cultural foundation and exhibition space in Madrid, operated by Canal de Isabel II, the public water company that has served the city for more than a century and a half. Its galleries occupy a striking contemporary building in the Almagro district, and the foundation has established itself as one of the capital's most active venues for large-scale travelling exhibitions, drawing audiences from across Spain and beyond.
At present, the foundation is hosting Disney: The Exhibition, a touring show marking one hundred years of the studio's history. The exhibition moves through original artwork, costumes, props, and interactive installations that trace the arc from Walt Disney's earliest animated shorts to the global franchises of recent decades, offering a detailed look at the creative and industrial processes behind one of the most influential entertainment companies of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
