Tosca at London Coliseum

Tosca is an opera by Giacomo Puccini, performed by English National Opera at the London Coliseum in the West End. First staged in 1900, the work follows the painter Cavaradossi, his lover Tosca, and the corrupt police chief Scarpia across three acts of political intrigue, jealousy, and violence set in Rome. The London Coliseum, opened in 1904 and designed by Frank Matcham, is one of the largest theatres in the city and the permanent home of English National Opera, with a capacity of around 2,350 seats.
