À propos du lieu

À propos de ce lieu

Leonardo3 Museum occupies a prime position in Milan's Piazza della Scala, directly opposite the famous opera house and steps from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The museum is dedicated entirely to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci, whose long and formative years in Milan produced some of his most celebrated works and inventions. Through a combination of physical reconstructions, interactive models, and digital displays, Leonardo3 presents Leonardo not merely as a painter but as an engineer, architect, anatomist, and visionary. Researchers and model-makers at the museum have spent years reconstructing machines and devices from Leonardo's original codices, bringing drawings that remained unrealised for five centuries into three-dimensional form.

The permanent experience, The World of Leonardo, guides visitors through the full breadth of his output, from military machines and hydraulic studies to his paintings and theatrical designs. The museum sits at the cultural centre of a city that Leonardo himself helped shape, making it a fitting home for this depth of scholarship and craft.
