Acerca de este lugar

Ca' Rezzonico is a grand baroque palace on the Grand Canal in Venice, housing the Museo del Settecento Veneziano, the city's dedicated museum of eighteenth-century Venetian life and art. The building was begun by Baldassare Longhena, the architect responsible for the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, and completed decades later by Giorgio Massari. Its monumental facade and richly decorated interiors reflect the opulence of the Venetian nobility at the height of the Republic's final century.

Inside, visitors move through frescoed ballrooms, period-furnished apartments, and galleries displaying paintings by Giambattista Tiepolo, Pietro Longhi, and Rosalba Carriera, among others. The poet Robert Browning died in the palace in 1889, adding a literary layer to its long history. An entrance ticket gives access to the full sequence of rooms across multiple floors, offering a sustained encounter with the decorative arts, portraiture, and domestic culture of a city that was reinventing itself even as its political power waned.
