Sobre aquest lloc

Torre Bellesguard stands on the slopes of the Collserola hills in the upper reaches of Barcelona, occupying a site with a history that stretches back to the medieval court of King Martí I of Aragon. Antoni Gaudí took on the project in the early twentieth century, weaving Gothic references into his own unmistakable architectural language to produce a building that feels simultaneously ancient and singular. The slender tower, the pointed arches, and the intricate ceramic and stone detailing reflect Gaudí's deep respect for the site's royal past, while the structure as a whole remains one of his lesser-known yet most intellectually considered works.

Today the Bellesguard family opens the house to visitors, offering an entry ticket paired with an audio guide app for those who prefer to explore at their own pace, as well as a guided tour for a more structured account of the building's layered history. The surrounding gardens and the views across Barcelona add further context to a visit that rewards careful attention.
