About the venue

About this venue

The Tibidabo Funicular connects the lower slopes of the Serra de Collserola to the summit of Mount Tibidabo, carrying passengers up one of Barcelona's most distinctive hillside routes. The funicular forms part of the broader Tibidabo experience, linking the city's tram network to the amusement park and the landmark Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor that crowns the mountain. From the upper station, visitors look out across the Barcelona skyline, the Mediterranean coastline, and on clear days, far beyond the city limits.

Among the experiences currently available is the Cuca de Llum Roundtrip Ride, which takes its name from the Catalan word for firefly and offers a scenic ascent and descent along the hillside track. The funicular remains one of the most atmospheric ways to approach Tibidabo, combining a working piece of urban transport history with views that reveal the full scale and geography of Barcelona from above.
